After opening with a school-record six straight contests away from Radford, the Highlanders will kickoff their home slate with a 6 p.m. contest against SoCon foe Elon Saturday at Cupp Stadium.

The first 198 #9 RU Soccer Club members will receive a FREE RU Soccer Scarf.

A year ago, Radford went undefeated at home for the first time in the program's 35-year history, while ranking in the Top-30 nationally in attendance.

Coming off a 4-3 setback at perennial power Virginia Tuesday, the Highlanders enter the 16th meeting with the Phoenix 3-3-0 overall.

Trailing 4-0 late in the opening period, Radford scored three unanswered against the Cavaliers over a 24-minute span to make it a one-goal contest.

The Highlanders had a number of great equalizing chances, including a Chel Ho Kim Park (Santander, Spain) blast from just shy of midfield that hit the crossbar.

Brian Gwanzura (Harare, Zimbabwe / Harare), last week's Big South Player of the Week, continues to lead the club in scoring with four goals.

Luis Grande (Caracas, Venezuela / U.E. Colegio Los Arcos) and Iyiola Awosika (London, England / Aylesbury Grammar) have also struck multiple times this season, while Kim Park leads the team and ranks second among Big South leaders in assists with four.

Like the Highlanders, Elon has played a tough non-conference schedule and comes into the contest 2-4-1 following an overtime loss to No. 11 Old Dominion a week ago.

Chris Thomas leads the Phoenix in scoring with three goals and two assists.

A year ago, Elon recorded a 3-1 home victory over the Highlanders, who were playing their second contest in as many nights.

Radford will open Big South play Wednesday evening with a 7 p.m. contest at Campbell before returning to Cupp Stadium next Saturday when it hosts UNC Asheville at 2 p.m.
