WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A day after freshman
Vincent Wyatt broke 110m hurdles school record, he returned in the finals to run an even faster time, 14.01, and took top honors in Radford track and field's last day in the Wake Forest Open Saturday afternoon.
Wyatt comfortably finished in first place with his school record time (14.01). The runner-up from Appalachian State clocked a 14.31.
The men's 4x100m relay team consisting of
Brett Olinger,
Ronquis Posey,
Joseph Betts and
Allen Dooms combined to run the fourth fastest time in program history with a 41.25. The team placed third overall.
Betts and Dooms also competed in the finals of the 100m dash and had back-to-back finishes. Following his school record a day ago, Betts took third with a time of 10.64, while Dooms tallied a 10.66 and finished fourth.
Meanwhile in the 200m, Betts clocked a 21.46 and finished second in a field of 112 athletes.
Tehquin Warrick also garnered a 16th-place showing in the same event with a time of 22.20.
In the men's 400m hurdles, Olinger clocked a 54.16 to finish eighth overall.

Distance
After a solid performance in the 5000m yesterday,
Ryan Farnan finished second in his section and 13th overall with a time of 8:54.48 in the 3000m today.
Pole Vault
Josiah Brunson turned in an eighth-place showing in men's pole vault with a 3.70m/21-01.50 mark.
Jumps
In the women's long jump,
Lakei Crews spanned 5.12m/16-09.75 to take home 16th place.
Kayla Christian was right behind Crews in 18th with a 5.10m/16-08.75 distance. Crews topped her 15-athlete flight.
Jamiecka Baker cleared the high jump bar at 1.48m/4-10.25 and placed 14th.
Sprints
Christian crossed the line in 25.85 in the 200m to finish 39th.
