BETTS NAMED BIG SOUTH MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the first time in his career, Radford's Joseph Betts was named Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Track Athlete of the Week, announced Wednesday by the league office.

Betts placed first at the Carolina's Cup in the 200m with a time of 21.26. His time tied the Radford school record in the event and helped the men's squad to its second straight Carolina's Cup team title.

The first-place showing was his first outdoor title in the 200m and his second collegiate crown overall.

Betts will lead a talented sprints crew into the Big South Outdoor Championships on Thursday.
