BETTS LEADS THE WAY ON FIRST DAY OF FLORIDA PEPSI RELAYS

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – 
Joseph Betts recorded a personal-best time in the 100m dash and led a number of Radford track and field athletes on the first day of the Florida Pepsi Relays on Friday.
 
Betts ran the second fastest time in program history with a 10.54, just .04 seconds off school-record pace.  He placed 15th overall and finished second in his section.  Currently ranked 25th in the NCAA East Region, Allen Dooms was only steps behind Betts in 18th place with his time of 10.57.  His time ranked as the third best in school history.
 
Vincent Wyatt crossed the finish line in 14.18 in the men's 110m hurdles and garnered a 12th-place showing.  In the men's 400m hurdles, Brett Olinger - currently ranked 36th in the NCAA East Region - ran a 53.62 and placed 22nd.
 
Amber Church clocked a 15.19 in the women's 100m hurdles to finish 38th overall in a competitive field.  Teammate Courtni Pannell crossed just behind Church with a 15.39. 

Nikki Roseberry also competed in the high jump and cleared the bar at 1.60m / 5-03.00. 

The final day will kick off tomorrow morning and will feature Radford's relay teams.
