HIGHLANDERS BLANK DELAWARE STATE, 1-0

BOX SCORE DOVER, Del. – Junior Julie Ruh'e scored in the 13th minute and junior Che' Brown made three saves as Radford women's soccer earned a 1-0 shutout on the road at Delaware State, Sunday afternoon from Alumni Stadium.

Ruh'e's lone tally of the match followed one of the Highlanders' (3-2) three corner kicks. Sophomore Kara Nay corralled the ball and found Ruh'e, who buried the game winner from 10 yards out. It was the striker's first goal of the season, while Nay's assist came less than 48 hours after her game-winner against Old Dominion on Friday night.

All three of Brown's saves came after goal, including two in the first half. It was the keeper's second clean sheet of the season and 16th of her career, third all-time at Radford.

The Highlanders outshot the Hornets (0-3), 15-6 and held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks. Junior Rachel Conway paced Radford with four shots, while Ruh'e and senior Mary Wiley attempted three apiece.

Katelyn Koslowsky made seven saves for Delaware State.

Radford returns home on Friday, Sept. 7 and closes out its non-conference schedule hosting Southern Virginia at 7:00 p.m.
