MEN’S GOLF VENTURES EAST FOR JOE AGEE INVITATIONAL

RADFORD, Va. – Coming off a Top-10 showing at the season-opening Raines Development Group Intercollegiate, the Radford men's golf team is back in action Monday and Tuesday in Williamsburg, Va. for the Joe Agee Invitational. The 54-hole event is hosted by William and May at the par 71, 6,837-yard Williamsburg Club.
Making the trip for the Highlanders are Weston Eklund, Callum Tarren, Conner Hayden, Tanner Carbaugh and Ryan Rettberg. Eklund carded his sixth career Top-5 showing in South Carolina, firing a 5-under 211 to pace RU.
Tarren and Hayden also competed in the first tournament of the fall, finishing tied for 38th and tied for 45th, respectively. Tarren posted 221 (73-73-75) and Hayden, playing in the first collegiate tournament of his young career, finished a stroke behind at 222 (72-79-71).
Carbaugh is making his eighth collegiate start after finishing with a 76.1 stroke average in his freshman campaign. Rettberg will be playing in the fourth tournament of his career.
Radford is paired with Longwood and St. Joseph's for the first round, which gets underway at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. The Highlanders, Lancers and Hawks will be teeing off on holes 4-8.
In addition to these three squads and the Tribe, Elon, High Point, Delaware, Long Island, Washington and Lee, Hampton and N.C. Central will be competing for the team title. W&M will also have individuals playing to fill out the 60-player field.
