Coming off back-to-back wins, Radford women's soccer closes out its non-conference schedule on Friday night when Southern Virginia rolls into town for a 7:00 p.m. contest at Cupp Memorial Stadium.

GOLDEN RECOGNIZED: For her efforts on both sides of the ball last week, junior Sydney Golden was named Big South Defensive Player of the Week. Along with helping a defense hold their opponents to 12 shots, she assisted on Nay's game-winner and her corner kick helped set up the game-winning score against Delaware State.

A LOOK AT RU: Radford has won two straight with victories over Old Dominion and Delaware State... After two goals against ODU, Rachel Conway leads the squad with three... Kara Nay's game-winner against the Monarchs was her second collegiate goal, the first was also a game-winner during her freshman year... Junior Julie Ruh'e tallied her 7th game-winning goal of her career, tying her for 4th all-time... Nay recorded a game-winning goal and game-winning assist in back-to-back contests... Junior Che' Brown is third all-time with 16 shutouts.

A LOOK AT SVU: The Knights have dropped their first two games of the season against Washington & Lee and Lynchburg College. Lora Palmer has scored SVU's lone goal of the season.

WEEKEND RECAP:  The Highlanders dominated an Old Dominion squad last Friday and came out on top, 3-1. Trailing 1-0 at the half, junior Rachel Conway converted two penalty kicks and sophomore Kara Nay headed in the game-winner on a corner kick in the 65th minute lifting the Highlanders to a comeback victory.

Julie Ruh'e's strike in the 14th minute lifted Radford to a 1-0 road win at Delaware State on Sunday. Kara Nay assisted on the goal less than 48 hours after scoring the game-winner versus ODU. Che' Brown recorded three saves for her second clean sheet of the season.

UP NEXT: Radford returns from a 12-day hiatus on Thursday, Sept. 20 hosting High Point in the Big South opener for both squads.
