RADFORD, Va. -
The Big South season hits the midway point Wednesday night when High Point pays a visit to Cupp Stadium for a pivotal league matchup between the Highlanders and the Panthers. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. and the game will be carried live on the Big South Network.

THE HIGHLANDERS: With three points in the standings on the line, Radford (4-5-3, 1-2-1) is looking snap a three-game non-winning streak. Defensively, the Highlanders have given up just six goals in their last eight games, but that has only equated to a 3-3-2 record during that span, including all three losses coming by a 1-0 final score. Radford has not given up multiple goals in each of those eight games covering the span.

Radford dropped its match Sunday at No. 6 Coastal Carolina, 1-0. The Highlander went toe-to-toe with the league's top team, but sufferred their fourth 1-0 defeat of the season.

Dane Wilson is tied for fourth among Big South goalkeepers in shutouts with two on the season. Joe Mayer is tied for second in the league with three game-winning goals on the season. Mayer is tied for fifth in goals (6) and sixth in points (14).

THE PANTHERS: High Point (4-7-2, 2-2-1) is coming off a 1-0 home loss to Winthrop. The Panthers feature one of the conference's most prolific scorers in Mamadee Nyepon, who has 10 goals and 2 assists on the season for 22 points.

THE SERIES: Radford leads the overall series 10-6-3. The two teams fought to a scoreless tie last year at High Point when the Panthers were nationally-ranked.
