Fresh off a 3-0 dominating performance over VMI on Wednesday, the Radford men's soccer team puts its three-game unbeaten streak and two-game winning streak on the line Saturday at Winthrop. Kickoff at Eagle Field is set for 6:00 p.m., and the game will be carried live on the Big South Network.

THE HIGHLANDERS: The three-game unbeaten streak is the longest of the season for Radford (6-5-4, 3-2-2), and the two-game winning streak matches the back-to-back wins RU posted in the UNC Asheville Invitational in September.

Bernardo Ulmo has found his offensive stride in the last two game with three goals and an assist, including the game-winner vs. VMI. Ulmo and Joe Mayer each have scored a team-high seven netters on the season. Mayer has one more assist on the season to lead the team in points with 16. Luis Grande has a team-high six assists on the season and scored his first goal in the VMI victory.

On the defensive side, keeper Dane Wilson and his back line mates registered the fourth shutout of the season against the Keydets. The Highlanders have surrenderred only eight goals in the last 11 games, and Presbyterian (W 3-2) is the only team in that stretch to post multiple goals in a game.

THE EAGLES: After starting the season 7-0-1, Winthrop (9-6-1, 3-5-0) has dropped four of its last six games, including two straight to Longwood and Gardner-Webb. Winthrop's offense is led by the duo of Achille Obougou and Max Hasenstab, who have scored nine and seven goals, respectively.

THE SERIES: Radford has played more games in its history against Winthrop than any other team. The rivalry dates back to RU's inaugural season in 1984. The Highlanders lead the series, 32-23-11. Winthrop won the last matchup in the semifinals of the Big South Tournament a year ago, 2-1 in overtime.
