MEN'S SOCCER TRAVELS TO LIBERTY IN FINAL REGULAR SEASON ROAD TRIP

The Radford men's soccer team plays its final regular season road game Wednesday evening with a 5:00 p.m. matchup at rival Liberty. The Highlanders can clinch a berth in the Big South Tournament with a victory over the Flames.

THE HIGHLANDERS: Radford (6-6-4, 3-3-2) suffered its fifth 1-0 loss of the season on Saturday at Winthrop. The loss snapped a season-high three-game unbeaten streak for the Highlanders and a two-game winning streak. RU is currently holding down the No. 8 spot in the Big South standings, but could finish as high as No. 4 with a pair of wins in its final two games and some help across the league. The top four seeds in the Big South Tournament play host to a quarterfinal game next week.

Joe Mayer is tied for 7th in the conference in points with 16 (7 goals, 2 assists). His 7 goals ties him for 7th in the league. Among those tied with 7 goals on the season is Bernardo Ulmo. Ulmo's 15 points (7 goals, 1 assist) has him tied for 9th in the Big South in scoring. Luis Grande is tied for 3rd in the conference with 6 assists on the season.

Dane Wilson is posting a 1.06 goals against average in net for the Highlanders, which is good for 2nd among keepers in the Big South. He is tied for 2nd in the league with four shutouts on the season as well.

THE FLAMES: Liberty (9-7-0, 5-4-0) is currently alone in 4th place in the Big South standings with 15 points. The Flames are 5-1 at home this season and have won two straight games entering Wednesday's showdown.

LU is led offensively by Sachem Wilson, who has 8 goals and 3 assists on the season. Jeremy Lee posts a 1.34 goals against average in net.

THE SERIES: Liberty leads the all-time series 24-20-12.
