HIGHLANDERS TRAVEL TO SECOND STRAIGHT A-SUN OPPONENT

RADFORD, Va. - After taking the final two games of the opening weekend series at Jacksonville a week ago and not getting a chance to play its home opener due to Mother Nature, the Radford baseball team travels to Atlanta this weekend to face Kennesaw State in a three-game series.

The Highlanders and the Owls will meet Friday at 4:00, Saturday at 1:00, and Sunday at 1:00 at Stillwell Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga.

Radford's projected starting pitchers for the series are Tyler Costello (Fri), Michael Boyle (Sat), and Keith Fritz (Sun).

THE SERIES
♦ Radford and Kennesaw State have never met prior to this series in baseball.
♦ Radford is 16-23 all-time vs. current members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (14-21 vs. East Tennessee State, 2-1 vs. Jacksonville, and 0-1 vs. Stetson).

♦ RU's eight-run inning at Jacksonville in the final game of the series was the most runs in an inning since the Highlanders scored eight in 2012 against UNC Asheville.
