Radford wraps up spring break with a trip to the Sunshine State for the USF Under Armour Invitational this weekend. The Highlanders open with Quinnipiac (1:15 p.m.) and LIU-Brooklyn (4:00 p.m.) on Friday at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla. Boston College, Cornell and Rhode Island are also on tap for this three-day tournament.

LAST TIME OUT: The Highlanders (3-13) were upended in eight innings by Marshall 5-1 in their home opener on Wednesday… The Thundering Herd scored four runs in the top of the eight with two outs… Junior Jessie Hutchens knocked in Radford's lone run with a solo home run in the first inning.
 
THE BOBCATS: Quinnipiac (4-13) comes in have won two of its last three with victories over Maine and Chattanooga… Courtney Solt is batting .367 with 22 hits, five doubles, nine runs and six RBI, while Jordan Paolucci (.317) has recorded a team-best four home runs and 13 RBI… The Bobcats have used five pitchers, three that have logged 25-plus innings… Hannah Lindsley is 2-4 with a 5.35 ERA and 14 strikeouts… The Highlanders are 3-1 all-time against the Bobcats.
 
THE BLACKBIRDS: LIU-Brooklyn (4-20) is playing its second tournament in Florida picking up wins over BYU and Western Michigan last week… Lauren Morizi and Emily Kakuza are batting .353 and .333, respectively… Morizi has six doubles, nine RBI and nine runs scored, while Kakuza has registered four doubles and team-high 11 RBI… Karina Cervantes has scored a team-best 16 runs… Nicole Archer has posted a team-low 4.24 ERA in nine appearances… She and Cassie Vondrak each have 29 strikeouts… LIU owns a 6-2 lead in the series.
 
THE EAGLES: Boston College (4-11) dropped its league-opening series at North Carolina last weekend… Four Eagles are batting over .300 led by Andrea Filler at .382 with three doubles and 10 RBI and Megan Colley at .370 with 16 runs scored and five stolen bases… Filler and Chelsea Dimon have each picked up two wins in the circle… Radford is 0-2 against BC.
 
THE BIG RED: Cornell (3-5) has played its last two weekends at George Mason, going 3-5 in eight contests at a pair of tournaments…The Big Red are coming off a 1-3 weekend with its lone win coming against the host Patriots, 3-0… Cornell's offense is paced four players with at least .364 batting average… Linda Laeufer is batting .400 with a double, home run, three RBI and two runs... Alyson Onyon is 3-2 with a 1.93 ERA in five starts…Radford owns a 2-1 lead in the series
 
THE RAMS: Rhode Island (2-8) went 2-2 at the UMBC Dawg Pound Invitational picking up victories over Coppin State and the hosts… Courtney Predergast paces the offense with a .313 average, three doubles, a home run, three RBI and five runs scored… Sam Bedore is 2-2 with a 2.33 ERA in eight appearances... She has 34 strikeouts in 39 inning pitched… RU has won all three meetings with URI.
