HIGHLANDERS RETURN HOME FOR TUESDAY / WEDNESDAY HOME GAMES VS. ETSU AND NCAT

RADFORD, Va. - Radford returns home tonight vs. East Tennessee State and Wednesday vs. North Carolina A&T after winning a series against Coastal Carolina for the first time since 2002. It was also the first road series win over the Chanticleers since the 1997 season. Game times are set for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 4:00 on Wednesday.

The Highlanders and the Buccaneers met earlier in the season in Johnson City with Radford coming away with a 4-2 win. In that game on April 1, the Highlanders rallied from a 2-0 deficit to record the come-from-behind victory.

Jordan Taylor's two-run single in the top of the seventh gave the Highlanders the lead. Oliver Powers earned his first career victory on the mound and threw just one pitch to get it. Powers came in from the bullpen in the sixth and recorded the final out before the Highlanders took the lead in the seventh.

With the win, Radford improved to 15-21 all-time against the Buccaneers.

ETSU is 22-15 on the season, but has dropped three of its last four games. The Bucs lost two of three at Stetson over the weekend in an Atlantic Sun Conference series.

Radford also defeated North Carolina A&T earlier in the season, a 13-3 decision in Greensboro on April 3.

Zach Woolcock and Alexander Lee each had big days against the Aggies at the plate. Woolcock had four hits, including a double and a triple. He drove in a run and scored twice. Lee was 3-3 at the dish with a home run and three RBI. Dylan Nelson went 6.0 innings to earn the victory on the mound.

Radford owns a 13-10 all-time advantage in the series vs. NC A&T.
