REGULAR SEASON SERIES FINALE AT LIBERTY STARTS THURSDAY

RADFORD, Va. - Radford baseball will close out its regular season with a three-game series at rival Liberty beginning Thursday. The Highlanders and Flames will face off Thursday and Friday evening with single games at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday's game three is set for 2:00 at Liberty Baseball Stadium.

Radford (28-22, 13-8) stands alone in second place in the Big South North Division behind Campbell, which has already secured the division title. The Highlanders are game in front of High Point and two games in front of Liberty to remain in the No. 2 spot in the division. RU has qualified for next week's Big South Tournament, which will be played at Liberty Baseball Stadium starting Tuesday.

The Highlanders have dropped two of their last three games after dropping the deciding game of last weekend's home series vs. Charleston Southern. Radford is 16-7 on the road this season, including a 7-2 mark in Big South road games and has won three straight away from RU.

Liberty (27-25, 11-10) has dropped four straight games after a road loss Monday night at James Madison. The Flames were swept on the road last weekend at Campbell. Liberty is 18-7 at home this season in its new stadium.

The Flames lead the all-time series, 52-29 and have won two straight over the Highlanders.
