HIGHLANDERS HOST DELAWARE STATE ON FRIDAY

RADFORD, Va. --
Coming off a pair of thrilling late game victories, Radford women's soccer returns to action on Friday, hosting Delaware State at 7:00 p.m. from Cupp Stadium. The Highlanders (2-0-1) enter the contest undefeated after their first three contests and are riding a 17-match regular season undefeated streak (12-0-5). The Hornets (0-2) have dropped their first two matches of the season.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Senior Sydney Golden struck 1:44 into overtime to give Radford a hard fought 1-0 road win at Old Dominion on Sunday... The defender's first goal of her career gave the Highlanders their first road win the series' 16-game history… It also marked the first back-to-back victories against the Monarchs… The win came less than 48 hours after a thrilling 2-1 win over Towson in RU's home opener… Trailing 1-0, senior Rachel Conway converted a pair of penalty kicks in the final 14 minutes, including the game-winner in the 87th minute… The triumph extended the Highlanders' home undefeated streak to 11 matches (9-0-2)… It was her second collegiate two-goal game.
 
A LOOK AT YOUR HIGHLANDERS: Radford is currently on a streak of allowing two or few goals in a game over the last 22 matches and 36 of the last 38… With the pair of one-goal victories, RU is 22-5-6 in games decided by two goals or less since 2011, 15-4 in one-goal contests?? The victory over Towson extended Radford's home-opening winning streak to five and undefeated streak to six… The goal allowed against Towson snapped a streak of 588:52 without allowing a score at home, dating back to last season against High Point (9/25)… Senior keeper Che' Brown became Radford's all-time leader in minutes played on Sunday against ODU (4781:11).
 
THE HORNETS: Delaware State has dropped its first two contests of the season, being shut out at home by Temple and Bryant… Keeper Katelyn Koslosky has made nine saves for the Hornets, while four different players have recorded a shot.

THE SERIES: Radford is 3-0 against Delaware State, defeating the Hornets 1-0 last season in Dover, Del... This is the second meeting in Radford with the Highlanders taking the Oct. 23, 2003 matchup, 6-0… The Highlanders have outscored the Hornets, 17-0 in the three meetings.
