ROAD WARRIORS RETURN HOME FOR TWO BIG SOUTH TILTS

LIVE STATS

RADFORD, Va. –
For the first time since Sept. 9, the Radford volleyball team will play inside the Dedmon Center as the Highlanders are set for a pair of home matches this weekend. RU welcomes High Point, Friday at 7 p.m., and Campbell, Saturday at 4 p.m.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
High Point snapped a three-match losing streak following Saturday's 3-0 triumph over Charleston Southern. The Panthers enter the weekend with a 7-9 record on the season.

Kristin Heldt tops High Point's offensive output with 3.13 kills per set, while Chelsea Davis delivers three kills per set. Junior transfer Gabi Mirand dishes out 10.3 assists per set, while Wavie Chin averages 4.52 digs per set. Camryn Freiberg has a team-best 50 blocks for HPU.

Radford leads the all-time series, 24-14, over the Panthers.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING CAMELS
Campbell has won seven of its last nine outings to run its record to 10-8 overall. Alexis Hein, a transfer from Arkansas-Little Rock, puts down 2.74 kills per set to pace the attack.

Setter Summer Schuitema organizes the offense with her 7.80 assists per set. On the defensive side, Mary Crema ranks third in the league in digs per set (4.74), while Lorin Thomas ranks seventh in blocks per set (0.96).

Radford leads the series with Campbell, 19-3, which includes a 2-0 record against the Camels last season.

RADFORD ROUNDUP
The Highlanders (12-6, 2-1 Big South) earned two crucial league victories over UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb last weekend in the mountains of North Carolina. Radford continues to be one of the conference's top defensive teams, ranking second in opponent hitting percentage (.166) and ranking fourth in digs per set (15.97).

Rachel Wiechecki paces the offense with her 3.24 kills per set, while Megan Short ranks second in hitting accuracy (.333). Kelby Jackson anchors the backline with her 3.67 digs per set.

CLIMB TO 100
Marci Jenkins, a two-time Big South coach of the year, earned her 100th victory at Radford in the Highlanders' 3-0 sweep of UNC Wilmington. Since her arrival in 2008, RU has won a Big South regular-season and tournament title, qualified for the NCAA tournament, and had a Big South player of the year, freshman of the year, tournament MVP and scholar-athlete of the year.

ON DECK
The Highlanders travel to South Carolina for two more Big South contests next weekend. First up is a rematch of last year's conference championship between RU and Coastal Carolina. Opening serve is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. inside The HTC Center. Radford concludes the trip with a 7 p.m. tussle with Charleston Southern.
