CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH SET FOR SUNDAY IN CONWAY

CONWAY, S.C. –
For the 10th time in program history, No. 1 seed Radford will be playing for the Big South Volleyball Championship when the Highlanders collide with No. 2 seed Coastal Carolina in Sunday's final at 2 p.m. inside The HTC Center. The title tilt, which is a rematch of last year's championship contest, will air live on ESPN3.
 
CCU SERIES AT A GLANCE
The Chanticleers have won four of the last five in the all-time series, which they lead 26-18. Sunday's match marks the third-straight season (sixth time overall) CCU and Radford will meet in the conference tournament, with Coastal owning a 3-2 edge. Radford claimed the two sides' only meeting in the championship match last year.
 
SCOUTING THE CHANTICLEERS
Coastal Carolina (24-6) is making its eighth trip to the championship match, including its third straight. The Chants defeated No. 7 seed Gardner-Webb (3-1) and No. 6 seed High Point (3-0) to reach the final.
 
All-Big South honorees Leah Hardeman (440) and Eszter Nagy (248) lead Coastal's offense. Sam Skryd manages the attack with her 1,021 assists on the season. Jenna Orner anchors the defense with her 507 digs. Nagy also has a team-best 102 blocks for the Chants.
 
SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
Radford enters the match with a 24-7 record after defeating Winthrop in the semifinals for its 10th win in a row. All-Big South selections Rachel Wiechecki (425), Maddie Palmer (263) and Emma Deininger (245) pace the Highlanders in kills. Wiechecki leads the league with her 24 double-doubles.

Second-Team All-Big South honoree Jena Braden guides the team in assists at 1,269. Senior middle blocker Savannah Cantrell leads the team in total blocks with 98.
  
TOURNEY TIME
Radford entered the conference championship as the top seed for the second-straight season and fifth time overall. The Highlanders will be gunning for their sixth league tournament title, including its second in a row.
