RADFORD, Va. – The Radford track and field team produced five Top-10 showings during Friday's opening competition of the Coastal Carolina Invitational. The Chanticleers are hosting the two-day meet at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

WOMEN'S 800
With a pace of 2:27.17, Malina Richardson crossed the finish line in fifth place.

MEN'S 800
Joey Hannah stopped the watch in 2:02.37 to earn a sixth-place finish.

WOMEN'S JAVELIN
Maggie Kooken tied for fifth with her 130-08.00 mark, which is the third-best throw in program history.

MEN'S LONG JUMP
Behind a leap of 21-06.25, Phillip Hovatter claimed 10^th place.

MEN'S 5,000
Ryan Farnan clocked the seventh-fastest time (14:59.57) in program history to finish fourth.

SATURDAY'S SCHEDULE
Action gets underway at 10 a.m. with the men's discus, women's shot put, women's high jump, men's pole vault ("B" flight) and women's 3,000-meter run.
