After winning its Big South opening series at VMI, Radford (11-9, 2-1) remains on the road in league play this weekend at Charleston Southern (14-8, 1-2) for a game each on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Highlanders are tied atop the North Division standings with three other teams heading into week two of conference play.
SCOUTING THE BUCCANEERS
Charleston Southern opened the season with a program best 14-5 record, but has dropped its last three games, including the final two games of the Big South series at Longwood last weekend.
HIGHLANDER UPDATE
The Highlanders opened Big South play with a road series win taking the first two games at VMI before falling in the series finale. This week's midweek game at Virginia Tech was postponed due to weather.

Alexander Lee leads the Big South in batting average (.462) by more than 30 points and also leads the league in on-base percentage (.539). Lee's (.631) slugging percentage is second in the Big South. Hunter Higgerson knocked in a career-high five runs in the series opener vs. VMI, including his team-leading fourth home run of the season. In all, Higgerson drove in six runs on the week and leads the Highlanders for the season with 16. His .529 slugging percentage is good for fourth in the conference.

On the mound, Dylan Nelson remains one of the most dominant starters in the league. Nelson is 3-0 with a 1.71 ERA. Opponents are batting just .136 against him, which is second best in the Big South.
