KALEICE GREEN WINS LONG JUMP AT WINTHROP INVITATIONAL



RESULTS

ROCK HILL, S.C. –
Continuing her impressive form of late, Kaleice Green won the women's long jump to guide Radford track and field Friday at the Winthrop Invitational hosted by the Eagles at Irwin Belk Track and Field Complex.
 
WOMEN'S LONG JUMP
Green won her first outdoor title of the year by improving her PR to 18'5.25", which is tied for the seventh-best leap in program history.
 
WOMEN'S HAMMER THROW
Ashlen Veatch added six feet to her season-best hammer throw to take runner-up honors. The sophomore unleashed a 171'9" mark to finish less than six feet from Lehigh's Jimil Ataman, who tossed a 177'4" mark.
 
WOMEN'S SHOT PUT
Brianna Young logged a Top 10 by placing ninth with her 37'9.25" effort.
 
WOMEN'S 100-METER HURDLES
Jessica Shelton (14.59) and Courtni Pannell (14.64) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, to advance to tomorrow's final.
 
SATURDAY'S SCHEDULE
Shelton and Pannell compete in Radford's first running event of the day, the women's 100-meter hurdles final at 12:20 p.m. The triple, women's javelin and men's discus open the field portion at 9:30 a.m.
