WYATT IMPROVES BIG SOUTH RECORD TO TAKE FOURTH AT TEXAS RELAYS

RESULTS

AUSTIN, Texas –
Competing against some of the nation's elite, Vincent Wyatt lowered the Big South and Radford track and field record in the 110-meter hurdles Saturday afternoon to place fourth at the Texas Relays.

Coming off a record-breaking performance, Wyatt reached the finish line in 13.67 to knock .05 of a second off the Big South and school record he set at last Saturday's Virginia Cup.

"What an experience for Vincent," hurdles coach Mark White said. "I am honored to be the coach of this young man. He represented our university and program with great pride these past two days. For him to perform like this against the nation's best, shows how hard he is training in practice. And I believe the best is yet to come."

By running the nation's fastest time of the year (13.442), Wayne Davis II of Texas A&M won the event by .006 of a second over Florida's Eddie Lovett. Former Big South rival Milan Ristic, who transferred to California before the 2013-14 academic year, placed third at 13.59.
