FARNAN SMASHES PR IN 10K ON FINAL DAY OF RALEIGH RELAYS



RESULTS

RALEIGH, N.C. – Ryan Farnan shattered his personal record in the men's 10,000-meter run to guide Radford's distance crew Saturday in the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State at Paul Derr Track.
 
Farnan came within 30 seconds of the program record, stopping the watch at 31:22.78 to place 13th. In addition to setting the fastest time for the event in the Big South by over one minute, Farnan improved his PR by over 20 seconds.
 
Next weekend, the Highlanders will once again split up as the sprint and distance squads head to High Point, N.C. for the VertKlasse Meeting, while throws and jumps travel to Lynchburg, Va. for the Liberty Collegiate Invitational.
