RESULTS

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Three Highlanders recorded Top-10 efforts Thursday as Radford began competition at the 2014 Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Irwin Belk Track on the campus of Winthrop University.

WOMEN'S HAMMER THROW
Missing out on a podium finish by less than two feet, Ashlen Veatch took fourth place with her 162-04 toss.

WOMEN'S LONG JUMP
On her fourth attempt, Kiki Crews tied her PR by leaping 17-07.50 to place ninth.

MEN'S HAMMER THROW
Garrett Knudson notched a 10^th-place showing with his 148-01 effort.

MEN'S LONG JUMP
By adding over one foot to his season-best mark, Cory Dunn placed 11^th. He only missed the finals by four inches.

FRIDAY'S SCHEDULE
The men's javelin gets day two competition going at 10 a.m. Events will run throughout the day, with the 3,000-meter steeplechase scheduled to bring action to a close around 9 p.m.
