CRUCIAL SERIES WITH HIGH POINT STARTS FRIDAY ON ESPN3

Trailing High Point (24-16, 11-7) by a single game for third place in the Big South North Division standings, Radford (25-18, 10-8) travels to face the Panthers for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday night. The opening game of the series will be carried live online by ESPN3 and is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Williard Stadium. Saturday's middle game is scheduled for 6:00, and Sunday's finale begins at 1:00.

Radford had its six-game winning streak snapped Wednesday night in the ninth inning of a 5-4 loss at East Tennessee State. The Highlanders have won 10 of their last 14 games and stand just two games behind Campbell for second place in the division. High Point also stands between RU and second place. The Panthers have won four straight games and are 14-6 at home this season.

High Point ranks fourth in batting average (.282) and is led by Spencer Angelis, whose .388 average ranks fifth in the league. On the mound, the Panther are led by the conference's top ERA hurler, Conor Lourey. Lourey (6-0) has appeared as a reliever in 20 games and held opponents to a 0.68 ERA and a .168 batting average against.
