BETTS, WYATT CAPTURE TITLES AT CARDINAL TWILIGHT

RESULTS

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –
Despite battling windy and cold conditions, Radford track and field's Vincent Wyatt and Joseph Betts claimed individual titles Friday evening at the Cardinal Twilight hosted by the University of Louisville at its Cardinal Park.

Wyatt, the reigning Big South Men's Track Athlete of the Week, ran a 13.68 en route to his 10th individual title of the year in the men's 110-meter hurdles. He finished over .4 of a second ahead of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Dexter Schleis. His performance was the third time he broke the 13.70 barrier this year.

In the men's 400-meter dash, Betts sprinted a 47.56 to edge Schleis' teammate, Marquis Johnson, by .35 of a second. The junior will attempt to qualify for the NCAA East Regional one more time when he competes in the Hokie Twilight at Johnson-Miller Track Complex in Blacksburg, Va. He will need to trim his time down to near the 47-second mark to punch his ticket to Jacksonville, Fla.
