PORTER, THOMAS POST PERSONAL-BEST TIMES AT ROANOKE TWILIGHT



RESULTS

SALEM, Va. – Chaz Porter and Madeline Thomas of Radford track and field notched PRs Thursday evening at the Roanoke Twilight at Bast Track.
 
Porter clocked a 1:53.79 in the men's 800 to place fifth out of 13 entrants. Meanwhile, Thomas knocked over 10 seconds off her previous PR in the women's 5,000 to cross the finish line in 18:24.25. The junior captured seventh place with that time.

Seven Highlanders will be in action at the Virginia Challenge this weekend. Ashlen Veatch (women's hammer), Courtney Rice (women's 3,000 steeplechase) and Joseph Betts (men's 400) are scheduled for Friday. Meanwhile, Vincent Wyatt (men's 110 hurdles), Jessica Shelton (women's 100 hurdles), Ryan Farnan (men's 5,000) and Teresa Williamson (women's 1,500) are slated for Saturday.
