BOX SCORE

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Radford volleyball team concluded the Hokie Invitational with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-21) victory over UNC Wilmington Saturday evening, marking head coach Marci Jenkins' 100th with the program.

"All I can say is I am so proud of our kids," Jenkins said following the match. "For us to be 10-4 at this point in the season is a testament to how well our team has played given our strength of schedule. I like where we are as we head into Big South play next week at Liberty."

Maddie Palmer led Radford (10-4) with 11 kills and 11 digs for her third double-double of the season. Jena Braden nearly joined her with a double-double, falling one dig shy (30 assists and nine digs). For their efforts over the weekend, the duo was named to the all-tournament team.

Rachel Wiechecki served up three aces and added five blocks, while Savannah Cantrell also delivered five blocks, including two solo rejections. Kelby Jackson finished with a team-best 12 digs.

The Highlanders notched 10 blocks compared to just four from across the net. Radford also gained advantages in kills (38-31) and aces (5-3).

UNCW (10-4) was guided by Nicole Lott, who cranked 11 kills on 25 swings (.360). Victoria Phillips and Lindsay Hartmann contributed 12 and 11 digs, respectively.

The Highlanders open Big South play next Friday in Lynchburg, Va. against in-state rival Liberty. First serve is set for 7 p.m. inside the Vines Center.
