HIGHLANDERS HOST GARDNER-WEBB FOR THINK PINK MATCH

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's soccer team will play host to Gardner-Webb Wednesday night at Cupp Stadium, as the program holds its annual Think Pink match to raise awareness and support for the fight against breast cancer. Fans will receive Highlanders Think Pink t-shirts while supplies last.
The home contest is Radford's second to last of the season. With Sammie Shiflette netting her first career goal in Saturday's game against UNC Asheville, a total of 13 different Highlanders have scored goals this season, while 18 have recorded at least a point. Jessica Wollmann tied for the team's assist lead with her third of the year. Freshmen now comprise four of their top six scorers, along with Ana Revollo, Amanda Philip and Jasmine Casarez. Four of the RU's six conference losses have come by one goal, including two in which it outshot its opponent and dominated the corner kick battle.
Scouting Gardner-Webb: The Runnin' Bulldogs (4-7-3, 1-3-1) picked up a win and a draw in their last two Big South matches, getting a 2-1 victory at Campbell before playing to a 1-1 tie with Longwood on Saturday… Senior Shelby Hooe and junior Brandi Arey have combined for 10 of the team's 15 goals, including all four in conference play… Hooe scored each of the three goals in the last two games and has six for the season… Arey has recorded four goals and three assists… Freshman Keely Brown has played every minute in goal, totaling 67 saves.
Series History: Radford leads the all-time series 6-3-1, including 4-1-0 at Cupp Stadium… Gardner-Webb notched a 2-0 win on its homefield last year.
