WOMEN’S SOCCER AT CAMPBELL RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY

Live Stats

RADFORD, Va. – Due to field conditions and the forecast for more rain, the Radford women's soccer team's match at Campbell scheduled for Saturday has been moved back to Sunday, with kickoff now scheduled for 5 p.m. in Buies Creek, N.C.

It is the Highlanders' second straight road game this week to be pushed back a day because of the weather. Despite being in search of its first Big South win, Radford totaled 63 shots in its first three games – second-most in the conference - and put 30 of them on goal. Twelve different Highlanders have recorded double-digit shot attempts on the season, including three with at least 20. Asyia Mitchell is fifth in the league with 32, one shy of her career high from last year. Katie McCormick ranks second in conference play with 21 saves and third for the campaign as a whole with 55.

Scouting Campbell: The Fighting Camels (7-4, 2-1) are coming off of their first conference loss, a 3-1 decision at Liberty on Wednesday… They opened Big South play with home victories over Charleston Southern (1-0) and UNC Asheville (5-1)… Preseason Attacking Player of the Year Ashley Clark ranks second in the nation with 26 points and is tied for sixth with 10 goals… In the first three league matches, the redshirt senior forward totaled three goals and four assists… Four other Camels have combined for the team's seven other goals on the season… Goalkeeper Alexis Connors has recorded 40 saves with a 1.18 GAA and four shutouts.

Series History: Radford leads the series 7-2-1, with the draw coming last year on a 2-2 score as the Highlanders rallied with two second-half goals… RU had won four straight meetings prior to that, including a 2-0 decision in its last trip to Buies Creek in 2013.

Up Next: Radford finishes off its three-game road stretch at in-state foe Longwood Wednesday for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Highlanders then return to Cupp Stadium Oct. 10 against UNC Asheville.
