RADFORD, CAMPBELL COLLIDE SATURDAY IN BUIES CREEK



SETTING THE STAGE
  • Radford looks to remain unbeaten in Big South play when the team travels to Buies Creek, N.C., for Saturday's men's soccer clash with Campbell.
  • Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. from Eakes Athletic Complex.
  • RU and the Camels squared off twice last season. The Highlanders defeated Campbell, 3-2, in overtime on Oct. 11, before ending the Camels' season in the Big South tournament quarterfinals, 2-0, on Nov. 11.
  • Marc Reeves is 4-0-1 against Campbell as Radford's head coach.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Record: 8-1-1, 3-0-0 Big South
  • Radford has ascended to No. 44 in the latest RPI rankings and No. 9 in the South Region.
  • Fifteen of the Highlanders' league-leading 24 goals scored this season are by underclassmen.
  • In addition to being the Big South leader in goals scored, RU ranks second in shots per game (16.70).

  • The Camels, who have not played in 13 days, dropped a 2-1 decision to Longwood in their last time out.
  • That loss snapped Campbell's four-game winning streak.
  • Bradley Farias leads the Camels and the Big South in goals (eight) and points (18).
  • Campbell is 2-1 at home this season (lone loss was to Longwood).
