MEN’S SOCCER TO HOLD NCAA SELECTION SHOW WATCH PARTY ON CAMPUS

RADFORD, Va. – Radford, ranked No. 20 in the latest RPI standings, will host a watch party for Monday's 2015 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship selection show beginning at 1 p.m. inside the Hurlburt Student Center on the campus of Radford University.

The selection show will be broadcast live inside the facility, and all fans/students/faculty/staff are invited to attend. Players and coaches of the men's soccer team will arrive around 12:30 p.m. For anyone who cannot attend, the NCAA will announce the 48-team field at this link.

"The NCAA tournament was the main goal for our group, and we truly believe over our 17-game regular-season schedule and two postseason games, we have had a very strong showing that will be recognized by the committee," head coach Marc Reeves expressed.

"Our three losses are against teams that will play in conference finals today, and three more teams are competing for automatic bids that we either tied (ETSU) or beat (Marshall and Dayton). Add in the tie at No. 10 Coastal and win at No. 21 Elon, and our schedule could contain seven NCAA tournament qualifiers."

RU, which secured a share of its sixth Big South regular-season championship, has put together one of the most successful campaigns in program history. The Highlanders, who rank in the Top-20 nationally in 11 different categories, are one win away from tying the program's single-season record for most wins.

"Our 14 wins and an undefeated record at home are fantastic accomplishments," Reeves noted. "We believe our group deserves an opportunity to play again. Our seniors have been fantastic, and it would be very unfortunate if the [Big South tournament] semifinal is their last memory as a Radford player. However, I do not believe that will be the case."
