HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dominique Wilson scored a game-high 17 points to lead three NC State players in double-figure scoring as the Wolfpack defeated Radford, 67-52, Tuesday night inside PNC Arena.
- After the Highlanders jumped out to an early 4-1 advantage, NC State manufactured a 14-0 run to build a 15-4 cushion with 2:48 remaining in the first quarter.
- Radford cut its deficit to four points (35-31) after an Aisha Foy fast-break layup at the 30-second mark of the second quarter.
- The Highlanders went into break down, 38-31.
- RU got as close as three points (38-35) with 8:32 to go in the third period, before the Wolfpack embarked on a 26-9 run to put the game out of reach.
- Foy dialed up a season-high 15 points on 4 of 9 shooting. She hit six of her eight free-throw attempts.
- Alexis Jackson reached double figures for the first time in her freshman campaign, totaling 10 points. The Severn, Md., native shot 50 percent from 3-point land.
- The Highlanders connected on 42.9 percent of their attempts from long range.
