WOMEN’S LACROSSE ADDS 10 IN SECOND RECRUITING CLASS



RADFORD, Va. – Radford head coach Haley Marvine announced the addition of 10 future Highlanders to her women's lacrosse program Thursday morning.
 
"I could not be more thrilled about our 2016 class," Marvine said. "We really spent time watching some of the top teams in the country. Eight different states are represented in this class, and I really believe we are bringing some of the top talent from those states to Radford. They all have the ability to not only bring depth, but also production to our program. I cannot wait to coach them."

Marvine on Paino: Amanda is a standout midfielder from a really competitive conference in New York. She will add a lot of depth to our midfield, in addition to speed. I believe she will make an immediate impact on our team.

Marvine on O'Connell: Colleen can make an impact wherever she is on the field. She has incredible quickness for her height. I am really excited to see how she develops at the collegiate level.

Marvine on Skalniak: Lauren is one of the top players coming from Texas. She is a high-percentage finisher in front of goal. Her work ethic is unbelievable. We hope that mindset continues in college and will help us build that quality within our program.

Marvine on Carroll: Lindsey is an extremely creative and confident attacker. She comes from really strong high school and club teams in New Jersey. I believe she has the ability to compete for a starting position right away. Lindsey will add immediate depth to our offense.

Marvine on Hawken: Megan is a great, natural defender. She is also one of the top basketball players in Tennessee. Her basketball experience has given her excellent defensive positioning, footwork and anticipation. We are thrilled she has decided to be a part of our program.

Marvine on Craddock: Carley is a natural, left-hand attacker—a need we focused on filling in this recruiting class. She is very eager to learn and improve her skill set. Because of this, I believe she will be very successful at Radford.
