
MEN’S GOLF RETURNS TO ACTION AT WEXFORD INTERCOLLEGIATE

RADFORD, Va. – Coming off a fall season where it posted three top-5 showings, the Radford men's golf team opens its 2015 slate Monday-Tuesday in South Carolina at the Wexford Intercollegiate. Francis Marion is set to host the 54-hole tournament at Wexford Plantation on Hilton Head Island.

RADFORD LINEUP
The Highlanders will travel with the same lineup as its last tournament: Conner Hayden, Ryan Rettberg, Tanner Carbaugh, Nick Brediger and Callum Cochrane. This quintet has played in two events together, averaging a 293.7.
THE FIELD
Five top-100 golf programs are set to tee it up on Hilton Head Island. Georgia Southern tops the list at No. 46, followed by VCU (65), Furman (84), William & Mary (86) and Charleston Southern (95). Radford is just outside the top-100 at 101.
THE COURSE
Following a major renovation, the Arnold Palmer-designed Wexford Plantation reopened in 2011. The golf course is artistically blended with the natural settings of the community to provide a meticulously maintained journey through tall, majestic oaks and stately pines. It continues around a unique harbor and an expansive stretch of coastal marshlands to offer a unique but special experience with spectacular views.
