Radford's scheduled home-opening series hosting Binghamton has been moved from RU Baseball Stadium due to poor field conditions and inclement weather. The series will be played at a neutral site, McNair Field in Forest City, N.C., home of the Forest City Owls.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton took the middle game of a season-opening Auburn series, but the Tigers prevailed in the opener and the deciding game. Auburn shutout the Bearcats 2-0 before BU bounced back in game two, 11-5. AU won the decisive game, 13-2.
THE HIGHLANDERS • Full Season Preview
Radford just missed knocking off Auburn in its own series vs. the Tigers. RU led 2-1 with two outs in the ninth before AU pushed across the tying run and eventually beat the Highlanders 3-2 in 10 innings. The Tigers went on to sweep the series, 6-1 and 6-0 in a rain-shortened finale. Radford won its season-opening series at Samford, taking the first and third games against the Bulldogs.
