Radford opens its Big South Conference slate with a home weekend series against Liberty at RU Baseball Stadium beginning Friday evening. First pitch Friday is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. with Saturday's start slated for 4:00 p.m. Sunday's series finale is set for 2:00 p.m. Friday's and Sunday's contests are scheduled to be broadcast on the Big South Network with all three games on the RU Sports Radio Network.

SCOUTING THE FLAMES
Liberty has won seven straight games, including a 12-5 win at Virginia Tech on Tuesday night. The Flames were the preseason favorite to win the Big South race in 2015. Liberty has eliminated Radford in one-run games in each of the past two Big South Tournaments.

THE HIGHLANDERS
Radford had its two-game winning streak snapped at Virginia Tech on Wednesday night. The Highlanders are 3-2 at home on the season splitting a two-game series with Youngstown State and taking two of three in a set with Marist. Josh Gardiner leads RU with a .419 batting average on the season, which is the third-highest average in the Big South.
