
MEN’S GOLF TIED ATOP LEADERBOARD AT MIDDLEBURG BANK INTERCOLLEGIATE

ROUND 1
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Paced by two of its golfers in the Top 10, the Radford men's golf team is tied for first through Sunday's first round of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary at the par 70, 6,765-yard Kingsmill Resort River Course.
RU and Loyola (Md.) both shot 3-over-par 283 and lead third-place Boston College by two strokes. Missouri is in fourth place at 286, while Maryland completes the Top 5 at 288.
Leading the charge for the Highlanders was Conner Hayden, who carded his ninth sub-par round of the season and fourth straight. The Chilhowie, Va., native logged a 2-under-par 68 and is tied for third, one shot behind individual frontrunner Nick Pandelena of Boston College.
Tanner Carbaugh charted an even-par 70 and is tied for seventh with eight other golfers. Nick Brediger continued his steady play by returning a 2-over-par 72 to the clubhouse. The Roanoke, Va., native is tied for 25th in the 159-golfer field.
On the strength of three birdies, Ryan Rettberg shot a 3-over-par 73 and is tied for 40th. Myles Creighton rounds out the lineup in a tie for 50th at 4-over-par 74.
Radford is paired with Loyola (Md.), Eastern Kentucky and Appalachian State once again for Monday's second round. The quartet will tee off on hole 10 between 8:35 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
