
MEN’S GOLF TIED FOR THIRD THROUGH 36 HOLES IN WILLIAMSBURG

ROUND 2
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Despite three of its golfers in the Top 20, the Radford men's golf team dropped into a tie for third place following Monday's second round of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary at the par 70, 6,765-yard Kingsmill Resort River Course.
RU, which shot 294 on its second 18, will have to attack from behind to earn its first tournament title of the season. Maryland and Loyola (Md.) are tied for first place with one round to go at 573, four shots clear of the Highlanders and Missouri. James Madison rounds out the Top 5 at 579. RU and Loyola (Md.) entered the second round tied for the lead.
Setting the pace for Radford is Tanner Carbaugh, who is tied for 11th at 143 (70-73). Conner Hayden and Ryan Rettberg are tied for 20th at 145. Rettberg's 72 on Monday was the Highlanders' lowest second-round tally.
Myles Creighton, who is making his fourth tournament appearance this season as a freshman, is tied for 37th at 147 (74-73). Nick Brediger completes Radford's lineup in a tie for 43rd at 148 (72-76).
Jamison Randall of Old Dominion, who is the only individual in the 158-golfer field below par, captured the overnight lead at 1-under-par 139 (68-71). He owns a one-shot advantage over Jack Sides of High Point and Ben Wood of Mississippi State with 18 holes remaining.
In a rare occasion, Tuesday's final round will consist of five-team pairings teeing off at 9:30 a.m. (shotgun start). RU is grouped with Maryland, Loyola (Md.), Missouri and James Madison. They will begin their rounds on holes 1-3.
