Radford and Coastal Carolina enter this weekend's pivotal Big South series at tied atop the league standings with 10-2 records. Friday's first pitch at Springs Brooks Stadium is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The Chanticleers enter the series ranked No. 18 in the nation, while the Highlanders have won 16 of their last 19 games.

SCOUTING THE CHANTICLEERSCurrent Stats
Coastal's Anthony Marks leads the league in batting average at .400 and is second in on-base percentage (.470) to RU's Josh Gardiner (.479). He also leads the conference in hits (58) and runs scored (42). The Chants' two top pitchers are a combined 13-0 on the season (Austin Kerr 7-0, Alex Cunningham 6-0). CCU is 18-9 at home on the season, but has lost two straight games at home. The Chants are 3-3 in their last six games.

THE HIGHLANDERSCurrent Stats
Radford is off to its best conference start in program history (10-2) and owns back-to-back sweeps on the road in Big South play over Campbell and Gardner-Webb. The Highlanders are 24-64 all-time against Coastal, but have won three out of the last five in the series, which included a road series win two years ago at Pelican Park. Gardiner ranks second in the league in hitting (.396) and trails only Marks in hits (53) and runs scored (38). Hunter Higgerson leads the Big South in doubles and is tied for third in the nation with 17 on the year. The RU pitching staff is led by two undefeated starters in Big South play (Michael Boyle and Dylan Nelson, 4-0). Ryan Meisinger leads the league with eight saves.
