Radford steps out of Big South league play with the first two of five non-conference games this week at home in midweek contests vs. VMI on Tuesday and West Virginia on Wednesday. The Highlanders (28-14) defeated VMI, 6-2, earlier this season in Lexington. The Highlanders and the Mountaineers (24-17) have not met in over a decade with WVU leading the all-time series 5-3-1.

SCOUTING THE KEYDETS • Current Stats
VMI enters Tuesday's game at 15-22 overall and 8-7 in Southern Conference play. The Keydets are 12-9 on the road this season. Jordan Tarsovich leads the team with a .338 batting average and 13 doubles. He also leads the team with 24 RBI. Matt Winn has 9 home runs to lead the Keydets, who have slugged 39 round-trippers on the season. As a team, VMI is batting .270 and holds a 5.85 team ERA.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS • Current Stats
West Virginia is 24-17 on the season and 6-9 in Big 12 play with a non-conference game against Marshall scheduled to Tuesday. Kyle Davis leads the Mountaineers with a .353 batting average. Taylor Munden has hit a team-high 10 home runs. Despite a .211 batting average, Shaun Wood leads the team in RBI with 30. As a team, WVU bats .274 and has a 3.63 team ERA.

• Radford won its 10th straight Big South series overall and 6th straight this season with a series win over High Point. The Highlanders have now defeated the other top 4 teams in the Big South standings in head-to-head series during the season.
• Radford enters this week #18 in the national RPI.
• At 28-13 prior to Sunday's series finale loss to High Point, RU reached 15-games above .500 for the first time in program history.
• With five straight non-conference games upcoming this week, Radford could tie the school record for victories (33 set in 2014) with a perfect week.
