Radford plays its final three non-conference games of the season beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. at RU Baseball Stadium in the first of a three-game weekend series against in-state rival, James Madison. The Highlanders and Dukes will play the first two games of the series at Radford before heading to Harrisonbug on Sunday for the series finale. Saturday's first pitch is at 4:00, while Sunday's game begins at 2:00.

SCOUTING THE DUKES • Current Stats
Despite a 16-25 mark on the season, JMU enters the series having won four of its last five games, including a midweek 13-10 win over Liberty on the road Tuesday. The road victory over the Flames was just the second of the season (2-15) for the Dukes. JMU is 12-9 at home this season. JMU is averaging 10.8 runs per game over its last five games.

As a team, JMU hits .268 led by Kyle McPherson's .325 average. Ky Parrott bats .317 with seven homers and a team-high 36 RBI. Brett Johnson (.269) has also hit seven homers with 34 RBI. The pitching staff owns a 6.48 ERA and has issued 197 walks. Opponents are batting .299 against JMU arms.

THE HIGHLANDERS • Current Stats
Radford is 16 games above .500 for the first time in program history and coming off a month of April where the Highlanders posted a 14-3 record. RU has won seven straight non-conference games. Radford is 14-5 at home and 13-9 on the road this season. Josh Gardiner leads the team with a .368 average. Patrick Marshall has eight home runs and leads the Big South the 40 RBI. Hunter Higgerson leads the league with 20 doubles. He has driven in 39 runs. Ryan Meisinger is atop the Big South in saves with 12.

As a team, the Highlanders are batting .289 and boast a 3.80 earned run average on the mound.
