Live Stats | Live Video

RADFORD, Va. – Following a week of practice, the Radford women's soccer team returns to game action Sunday as it travels to Tennessee Tech for its final non-conference road match. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on the Ohio Valley Conference Digital Network.

The Highlanders (4-2) have won their last two games overall and are looking to start a season 3-0 on the road for the first time since 2002. They have been balanced offensively with seven different players tallying goals and four recording assists. Freshman midfielder Jasmine Casarez entered this weekend's play tied for second in the Big South in shots (21) and third in shots per game (3.50). Senior forward Asyia Mitchell has totaled eight of her 14 shots in the last two games. Sophomore goalkeeper Katie McCormick has come up big on the road, totaling 17 saves in the wins over Appalachian State and USC Upstate.

Scouting Tennessee Tech: Like Radford, Tennessee Tech (1-3-2) last played a match on September 6, notching a 1-1 tie at Georgia State for its second straight draw… The Golden Eagles are unbeaten over their last three games, with a 2-1 win over Alabama that followed three straight losses to start the season… Freshman Kari Naerdemann has earned two straight OVC Goalkeeper of the Week honors and is among the conference's leaders in save percentage… Tennessee Tech has been outshot 110-42 for the season, including 42-19 on goal.

History: Radford holds a 5-3-0 edge in the series and has won the last three matchups, with the most recent coming by a 3-1 decision at home in 2011… The Highlanders posted a 1-0 overtime victory in their last visit to Cookeville, Tenn., in 2010.

Up Next: Radford will begin a three-game homestand on Friday, Sept. 18 as it wraps up nonconference play against Southern Virginia at 4 p.m. The Highlander men will then cap the doubleheader by hosting Appalachian State at 7 p.m.
