Live Stats | Live Video

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women play the opener of a soccer doubleheader at Cupp Stadium Friday as they host Southern Virginia at 4 p.m. for their final nonconference match of the season.

With Big South Conference play on the horizon, the Highlanders (4-3) look to get back in the win column and build momentum. Radford is currently second among Big South teams in shots per game, averaging over 17 per contest. Individually, Jazmine Casarez continues to rank among the top five in shots, while Asyia Mitchell has recorded 11 attempts in the last three matches, with three of them hitting off the crossbar. Katie McCormick stands fourth among conference goalkeepers with 34 saves and is fifth in save percentage.

Prior to kickoff, head coach Ben Sohrabi will be honored for earning his 200th victory as the program's leader.

Scouting Southern Virginia: The Knights enter the match with a 2-4 record following Wednesday night's 1-0 overtime win over Randolph College… Four different players have accounted for the team's four goals, including junior forward Tatiana Monsen, who has recorded a team-high 15 shots… Sophomore Savannah Uri is among three different goalkeepers to start games and has played the majority of minutes, making 27 saves with a 1.68 GAA.

History: The Highlanders have dominated each of the five previous meetings, totaling 38 goals while not surrendering any. The smallest margin of victory was a 6-0 score in 2013 and last year's match was a 7-0 decision.

Up Next: Radford continues its three-match homestand next week as it hosts back-to-back Big South Conference games at Cupp Stadium. In-state rival Liberty visits for the league opener Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Presbyterian comes to the New River Valley on Saturday, Sept. 26. Both contests are 7 p.m. kickoffs.
