MEN’S SOCCER LOOKS TO BEAT RAIN, UNC ASHEVILLE

SETTING THE STAGE
  • In an effort to play Wednesday's Big South men's soccer match, Radford and UNC Asheville have agreed to move the location from Cupp Stadium to Radford University's artificial turf field complex on campus.
  • Kickoff has been moved up to 2 p.m., however, the match will be closed to the public.
  • The soccer pitch at Cupp Stadium has been deemed unplayable due to torrential rain that has fallen over the past few days.
  • It will be the first NCAA Division I athletics contest at the artificial turf field complex, which was a project completed in the summer.
  • Kieran Roberts delivered the game-winner against UNC Asheville in last season's 1-0 victory over the Bulldogs.
  • The Highlanders have won three in a row in the series.
