SETTING THE STAGE
  • Live Stats
  • Live Video
  • Radford welcomes Howard to Cupp Stadium for Tuesday's 6 p.m. non-conference men's soccer match.
  • With a win, the Highlanders will be off to their best start (3-0-1) since 1995. That team also began its season 3-0-1.
  • RU defeated the Bison, 2-0, in the two sides' last meeting on Sept. 22, 2013 as part of the UNC Asheville Invitational in Asheville, N.C. Jamie Summers recorded a goal and an assist in that fixture.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • RU is unbeaten (2-0-1) through its first three matches for the first time since 2012.
  • Entering week three, the Highlanders are ranked ninth in the NSCAA South Region.
  • Three of Radford's four goals scored this season are by freshmen.
  • There are 23 underclassmen on the Highlanders' roster, which is tied for the second-youngest roster in all of Division I. Tulsa is the only program in the country carrying more (24).
  • One of those underclassmen, Finn Tiedemann, leads the Highlanders with four points (team-best two goals).
  • His two goals rank second among Big South freshmen.
  • Evan Szklennik has taken a team-best 11 shots up top for RU.

SCOUTING HOWARD

  • Howard is seeking its first win of the season after opening with losses to George Mason, George Washington, American and Monmouth.
  • All four of the Bison's matches have been away from home.
