MEN'S SOCCER EARNS TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD FOR 10TH YEAR IN A ROW

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's soccer team has once again been recognized for its success in the classroom, earning the 10th consecutive National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award in program history, which requires programs to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Led by CoSIDA Academic All-America® Second Team member Fraser Colmer, the Highlanders finished the 2015-16 academic year with a 3.40 overall grade point average, best among conference men's soccer programs.

"We are pleased to make it 10 years in a row earning this award. Our players work hard at their academics and we challenge them to maximize their own GPA, while contributing to the success of a team award," said head coach Marc Reeves. "We are very thankful for our academic support staff and professors, who make it a quality environment for our students to excel. Most importantly we truly believe that Radford University in addition to our program, motivates and prepares our players to be successful post-graduation."

Additionally, Radford was among 223 schools across all division and four from the Big South to have both its men's and women's programs honored.
