IN-STATE BATTLE KICKS OFF TWO-GAME ROAD SWING FOR WOMEN’S LACROSSE

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's lacrosse team begins a two-game road stretch Wednesday with a trip to Longwood for a Big South battle against the Lancers at 6 p.m.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
The Highlanders (1-10, 0-4 Big South) suffered their fourth Big South setback of the season Saturday afternoon at Cupp Stadium. Adrian Rius tallied three goals, marking the third straight outing she scored at least three goals in a game.

Gracie Peterson and Emma Rogers have tallied 22 and 21 goals, respectively, for the Highlanders. Rius is right behind with 19, followed by Juliette Ruland's 18.

Rius continues to lead the conference in draw controls per game (4.36). Meanwhile, Hannah Rosen holds the top mark for saves per game (11.91) and ground balls per game (3.73).

SCOUTING LONGWOOD
The Lancers (6-7, 2-2 Big South) possess three of the top four goal scorers in the conference. As a team, Longwood leads the league in goals per game (13.92), assists per game (7.31) and draw controls per game (14.00).

Sarah Butler ranks second among Big South players in goals per game (3.08), followed by teammates Katie McHugh (2.92) and Madison Stair (2.75).

Longwood will be aiming to snap a two-game losing skid in conference play. After opening their Big South slate with wins over Presbyterian and Gardner-Webb, the Lancers dropped tight decisions to Liberty (11-12) and Winthrop (8-10).
