WOMEN’S LACROSSE BEGINS LAST WEEK OF REGULAR SEASON VS. LIBERTY



RADFORD, Va. – Radford enters the final week of its regular season with two home games on deck. Up first is the Highlanders' first-ever meeting with Liberty in women's lacrosse, which is set for Wednesday at 4 p.m. from Cupp Stadium.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
The Highlanders (1-12, 0-6 Big South) fell to Big South co-leader High Point, 19-4, Saturday night at Vert Stadium. Adrian Rius tallied two of Radford's goals, marking the 12th straight game she has reached the scoring column. The freshman from Boca Raton, Fla., now has a team-best 24 goals.
 
Gracie Peterson is right behind with 23 markers on the season. Emma Rogers (22) and Juliette Ruland (20) have also crossed the 20-goal plateau.
 
Rius continues to lead the conference in draw controls per game (4.31). Meanwhile, Hannah Rosen is tied for the top mark in saves per game (11.00) and is third in ground balls per game (3.31).
 
SCOUTING LIBERTY
The Lady Flames (3-12, 2-4 Big South) picked up a 16-10 victory over Gardner-Webb Saturday afternoon at the Liberty Lacrosse Field in Lynchburg, Va. With the win, Liberty snapped a two-game losing skid.
 
In addition to their win against Gardner-Webb, the Lady Flames also notched a league victory against Longwood in overtime. Both of Liberty's wins in Big South play have come at home. LU is winless (0-7) as the away team this season.
 
Kallie Britton is the Lady Flames' top goal scorer with 24 strikes on the season. Kayla Foster contributes a team-high 36 points (17 goals, 19 assists).
 
UP NEXT
Radford will hold its first-ever Senior Day on Saturday, as the Highlanders will honor Emily Hoke prior to the 12 p.m. opening draw against Coastal Carolina at Cupp Stadium.
