RADFORD, Va. – Coming off of a home victory last weekend, the Radford women's soccer team takes to the road looking to collect its second straight win as they face the Chattanooga Mocs Sunday at 2 p.m.
Chattanooga (1-4-1) will also be aiming for its second victory of the season, coming off a 3-2 loss at home to Tennessee Martin on Friday night.
Jasmine Casarez and Jordan Lundin have led the way offensively for the Highlanders, with Casarez tallying two goals and Lundin contributing two assists. The duo has been aggressive in the attacking half, ranking second and fourth, respectively, in the Big South coming into the weekend in shots per game. Defensively, Radford (1-2) limited USC Upstate to just two shots on goal in its win.
Prior to the match against Tennessee Martin, Chattanooga had found the net in just one of its first five games – tallying eight against Alabama A&M. The Mocs have suffered three one-goal losses, including to Alabama, while the draw came with Morehead State. Peyton McCollum leads the team with three goals. Ellie Myrick has recorded a team-high 23 shots, while McCollum has 16. Melia Correa has played five matches in goal, recording 22 saves.
The Highlanders boast a 4-1-0 record in the all-time series, but the teams haven't met since 2000 when the Mocs collected their lone wins.
