SERIES HISTORY
  • Saturday's showdown will be the 31st meeting between Radford and Charleston Southern
  • Radford owns an 18-7-5 (.683) record against CSU
  • The first action between the two programs came on October 16, 1993 when the Highlanders came away with a 2-1 victory at home
  • Most recently, Radford hosted Charleston Southern on October 1, 2016 and earned a 2-0 win at Cupp Stadium

  • With 80 shots taken, Casarez ranks fifth in Radford single-season program history, surpassing Nikki Porter's 79 from 2003
  • Junior forward Jessica Wollmann is tied for the Big South lead in game-winning goals with four. That is also tied with seven others for fourth in Radford single-season program history
  • Five different Highlanders Have double-digit point totals after only two reached that mark in 2016. Those five are Casarez, Wollmann, Perez, Paupst and Giannone
  • Freshman goalkeeper Lexi Dean got the start against the Bulldogs and tied her career high for saves with nine
 
 
SCOUTING THE BUCCANEERS
  • Record: 5-9-2, 3-4-1 Big South | RPI: 284
  • CSU defeated Winthrop, 1-0, on Wednesday to end a four-game losing streak
  • While ranking in the middle of the pack in scoring statistics, the Buccaneers own the fourth-best scoring defense in the Big South after allowing only 21 goals in 16 games
  • They have been very aggressive this season, ranking in the top-3 for offsides (27 in 16 games) and yellow cards (9 in 16 games) in the Big South
  • Redshirt junior forward Jordan Newman leads CSU with five goals, two game-winning goals, two assists and 12 points
  • Junior goalkeeper Alyssa Dellacqua has played every minute of every game this season, collecting 89 saves and a 1.25 goals against average
  • The Buccaneers have matched Radford's mark of three shutouts this season
